Marginalia Movie Review by Matt Boiselle
Marginalia – directed & written by Mark Beal, and starring Jessica Bell, Seraluna Sanchez & Jessica Lemmons
Marginalia, from director Mark Beal, is a very enjoyable little horror movie that mixes demons, witchcraft, darkish secrets and techniques and… killer rabbits. Yes, you learn that proper.
The story follows Sister Trista, who travels to Karnstein Abbey to function a mourner on the funeral of the lately deceased abbess. Naturally, issues aren’t precisely what they appear, and he or she quickly finds herself uncovering some very darkish secrets and techniques. I had a very good time with this one. It’s bizarre, creepy, darkly humorous and doesn’t take itself too critically. The complete mixture of gothic environment, non secular horror and utterly surprising components just like the killer rabbits makes Marginalia stand out. It’s the form of offbeat horror that is aware of precisely what it desires to be, and I actually appreciated that. If you’re on the lookout for one thing somewhat totally different from the standard horror fare, I’d undoubtedly suggest giving this one a shot.
A enjoyable, unusual and surprisingly entertaining little horror movie. Definitely price testing!
