Movie Review: Dead Janitor’s Club

Dead Janitor’s Club Movie Review by Matt Boiselle

Dead Janitor’s Club – directed by Devon Downs & Kenny Gage, written by Jeff Klima & starring Jake Busey, Felix Merback & Brianna Gage

Okay, this one was quite a lot of enjoyable.
Dead Janitor’s Club, from co-directors Devon Downs and Kenny Gage, is a darkly humorous crime movie that takes a reasonably wild premise and runs with it. Based on Jeff Klima’s real-life memoir, the story follows Jeff, a cash-strapped crime scene cleaner who will get himself into critical bother after taking a mysterious protected from a bloody crime scene. Unfortunately for him, the protected belongs to a harmful drug cartel. From there, issues go from dangerous to actually freaking dangerous.

What I loved most about this film is the mix of crime, darkish comedy and simply sufficient chaos to maintain issues transferring. There’s an important humorousness operating all through the story, however it by no means loses the darker aspect of what these characters are getting themselves into. Felix Merback is nice as Jeff, and Jake Busey is clearly having a blast because the crooked cop Dirk. Brianna Gage additionally brings lots to the story as Kerry, who sadly finds herself pulled into Jeff’s more and more difficult mess, and I’ve to provide a giant shout-out to Devon and Kenny. I’ve identified these two personally for some time, so I’m admittedly a little bit biased right here — however watching them take this loopy true-life story and switch it into such an entertaining film was fairly rattling satisfying.

Dead Janitor’s Club is humorous, messy, violent and utterly entertaining. It’s the type of film the place you’ll be able to sit again, benefit from the journey and watch one dangerous resolution after one other flip into an excellent greater drawback. A extremely enjoyable crime comedy with an important forged and loads of character. I had a blast with this one and extremely advocate checking it out.

The movie releases on August twenty eighth, so ensure that to take this one for a journey when it turns into accessible – I promise you, it’ll be well worth the watch.
