Benedict Cumberbatch’s Method Acting Pissed Off Jesse Plemons

Benedict Cumberbatch could have taken issues a step too far whereas technique performing.

While engaged on The Power of the Dog, the actor stayed in character as Phil Burbank always — even though Phil was a very massive jerk.

And nobody is aware of that higher than Benedict’s co-star Jesse Plemons, who admits that it form of pissed him off at factors.

“It creates a mood,” Jesse stated whereas discussing the movie with Variety.

He continued, “There was one time he got under my skin. He was like, ‘Hey, big boy.’ It wasn’t ‘fatso.’ I feel like a few people in life have been like, ‘Hey, big boy,’ and I was like, ‘Goddamn it. What the fuck.'”

Later, Jesse did let Benedict know the remark “pissed [him] off,” and he apologized.

“He was like, ‘I’m so sorry.’ I was like, ‘No, don’t worry. It was great,'” Jesse defined.

Thankfully, Benedict stored to himself more often than not to keep away from additional insults, and Jesse says the tactic performing “was really helpful” for the movie.
