Tom Savini‘s 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead will have a good time its thirty fifth anniversary with a SteelBook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray launch on September 23 by way of Sony.
In addition to the theatrical model, a brand new uncensored lower is included, each newly restored in 4K with Dolby Vision. Supervised by Savini, the alternate lower restores gore that was initially lower to keep away from an X ranking, along with beginning in black and white earlier than transitioning to paint.
“Yes finally,” Savini wrote on Instagram. “Completely uncut, uncensored, and as I intended 35 years ago… it is black and white for a bit, as a homage to the original, and then color opens the curtain to my remake.”
