A model new episode of Shudder’s “Cursed Films II” premieres tomorrow, April 28, and the topic for the newest Season 2 episode is Wes Craven’s The Serpent and the Rainbow.
In this Bloody Disgusting unique clip from the brand new episode, “Cathy Tyson, Bill Pullman, and makeup artist David LeRoy Anderson recall how attending a Haitian voodoo ceremony while filming ‘The Serpent and the Rainbow’ turned a group of strangers into a family.”
Check out the clip under and skim on for the episode synopsis.
“Wes Craven and his crew set out on a great adventure–the staging of a major motion picture production in Haiti at the tail end of a violent political revolution. The film, The Serpent and the Rainbow, is based on the true experiences of anthropologist Wade Davis, who details his unbelievable search for an elusive “zombie powder”, and the difficult relationship he has with Craven’s interpretation of his story. Producer David Ladd and Bill Pullman and Cathy Tyson recount the challenges and unusual occurrences they skilled on set.”
“Cursed Films” is again with a brand new five-episode season exploring the myths and legends behind a few of Hollywood’s notoriously “cursed” horror movie productions. The Wizard of Oz, Rosemary’s Baby, Stalker, The Serpent and the Rainbow, Cannibal Holocaust: Were these movies actually cursed, as many imagine, or simply the victims of unhealthy luck and weird circumstances?”
